GDPR – Refresher Training
The GDPR is a huge piece of law that came into force on 25th May 2018. It’s the biggest shake-up to data protection law in 20 years. The primary aim of the GDPR is to give us more control over our individual, personal data. This course gives you a refresher on the three main topics of GDPR – responsibilities, data protection and individual rights.
This data protection training course is intended for all staff in any organisation which handles (or processes) personal data in an operational capacity.
Certainly anyone previously concerned with customer personal data under the DPA can benefit from this course; but the increased importance of personal data under the new GDPR legislation will mean that this course is even more widely applicable.
It’s an excellent grounding in how the GDPR affects day-to-day users of personal data in any company, government or charity context; and it’s one of our suite of GDPR training options which we have tailored for personal data-handling organisations in any situation.
This course consists of the following modules:
- Responsibilities
- Data Protection Principles
- Individual Rights
- Individual Rights Continued
Once you’ve completed this course, you’ll have a knowledge of:
- What the GDPR is and the rights people have over the processing of information
- How to respond to subject access requests and other requests from individuals
- What information must be provided in a privacy policy and when this information should be provided
- What to do in the event of a breach
